Trainers holding the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are required to arrange for a TAA to TAE upgrade to obtain the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.

 

There are three pathways you can choose for the TAA to TAE upgrade process.  All of these or a combination of these pathways will help you upgrade to the new TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

  1. By direct transfer of credits
     
  2. By recognition of current competency
     
  3. By undertaking further training to fill the gaps between your current qualifications (the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and the new qualification the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.)

 

 

 

If you are a currently conducting nationally recognised workplace adult education courses, it is most likely you will be able to obtain direct transfer of many of the units of competency that make up the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification. Currency is a major deciding factor in the TAA to TAE upgrade process.

The TAE10 package is fair and is flexible, and was designed to accommodate recognition of prior learning and recognition of current competency; therefore most current trainers will be able to complete the TAA to TAE upgrade with minimum disruption to their working activities.
